Discover the Oise valley, a unique and original itinerary in the heart of a region of undeniable charm. The Oise winds its way through a verdant bocage landscape shaped by this river and opens its doors to many historical sites. A multitude of colorful intimate encounters. Thus you will discover the castle of Malmaison magnificent residence decorated in the antique style by famous architects of the 17th century, at the Camille-Pissarro museum in Pontoise come and discover works of landscape painters, from pre-impressionism to post-impressionism, in Auvers-sur-Oise you will walk in the footsteps of Van Gogh to the Absinthe Museum which evokes what life in a cafe was like at the time of the Impressionists. Furthermore, the Chateau de Chantilly offers its visitors a concentration of the French way of life, finally, the Compagnie and the Memorial Museum of the Armistice, a historical and memorial route. Without forgetting the taste flavors, particular the famous Chantilly cream presented by a member of the brotherhood of whipping knights.


DAY 1: Paris - PONT-l'EVEQUE

Possibility of transfer(1) by coach from Paris to Pont-l'Eveque.Boarding from 6 p.m. Presentation of the crew and welcome cocktail. Dinner on board. After dinner,excursion included: Noyon and its cathedral "by night". True condensed time, Noyon and its 2000 years of history are revealed during this unique visit. Explore the city and discover the different facets of its two-thousand-year-old history and crisp anecdotes... An enchantment of light awaits you in the interior space of Notre-Dame Cathedral, the very first manifestation of Gothic (2nd half of the 12th century). ) from northern France.

DAY 2: PONT-l'EVEQUE - COMPIEGNE

Morning sailing to Compiegne. In the afternoon, excursion included: Compiegne, the memorial museum of the Armistice and the castle of Compiegne.Guided tour of the historic town of Compiegne. At the turn of the picturesque alleys, you will see the superb 16th-century Town Hall with a richly sculpted facade, in the Gothic style, and its statues of the main figures in the history of Compiegne, including Louis XII. Its belfry has one of the oldest communal bells in France, dating from 1303. Further on, pretty medieval houses, the oldest of which dates from the 15th century: the Vieille Cassine. Tasting of local specialties. Continue to the Armistice Memorial Museum. You will discover in the museum a car identical to that where the armistices of 1918 and June 22, 1940 were signed, a taxi from the Marne which took part in the battle of the same name and 800 stereoscopic views dating from the First World War. The Memorial is dedicated to all combatants from 1870 to the present day, with many monuments including the Augustin Trebuchon memorial garden, the last French man to die in the First World War... On your return, you will visit the Chateau de Compiegne. The originality and beauty of the largest French neo-classical castle, the quality of its interior decorations and its furniture, make it a unique ensemble. It represents one of the three most important French royal and imperial residences. Back on board for dinner. Night stopover.

DAY 3: COMPIEGNE - PONT-SAINTE-MAXENCE - SAINT-LEU-D'ESSERENT

Morning sailing to Pont-Sainte-Maxence. In the afternoon, excursion included: the Chateau de Chantilly.Road to Chantilly. The Chateau de Chantilly is one of the jewels of French heritage. It is also the work of a man with an exceptional destiny: Henri d'Orleans, Duke of Aumale, son of the last king of the French, Louis-Philippe. This prince, considered the greatest collector of his time, made Chantilly the setting for his countless masterpieces and precious manuscripts. The castle has survived the centuries as the Duke of Aumale offered it in 1886 to the Institut de France: the perfect opportunity to embark on a journey through time in the heart of a princely residence. You will notably visit the galleries of paintings where the presentation of the works has remained unchanged since the 19th century; the large apartments which offer a wide variety of works of art, furniture and paintings by masters; the book cabinet, one of the richest libraries in France. Back on board Saint-Leu-d'Esserent.

Attention foodies! Have you always wanted to learn how to make the legendary Chantilly cream? A member of the brotherhood of whipping knights will be on board to promote this historical and culinary heritage. Its objective: to teach you how to successfully whip up real Chantilly cream by hand!

After dinner, take advantage of your free time to stroll around the small town, the bravest can go to the abbey church of Saint-Leu-d'Esserent which overlooks the Oise valley from the top of a rocky promontory. . Night stopover.

DAY 4: SAINT-LEU-D'ESSERENT - AUVERS-SUR-OISE - PONTOISE

Morning sailing to Auvers-sur-Oise. In the afternoon, excursion included: Auvers-sur-Oise and the Absinthe Museum.Road to Auvers-sur-Oise. Spread over 7 km along the right bank of the Oise, the village was marked by the stay of impressionist painters, then Vincent Van Gogh, who came to draw their inspiration there in the 19th century. Today, we stroll in Auvers-sur-Oise in the picturesque alleys by traversing the circuit of the painters, equipped with panels representing famous paintings. Then visit the Absinthe Museum, it recreates the atmosphere of the cafés of the Belle Epoque when absinthe, in fashion, was the favorite drink of poets and artists. The original works it contains make us discover its importance in the social and cultural life of the 19th century. A tasting according to the ritual at the Absinthe-Café will end the visit. Return to the boat in Pontoise. Night stopover.

DAY 5: PONTOISE-BOUGIVAL

Excursion included: Pontoise and the Pissarro museum. Let yourself be told the story of Pontoise during your visit which will take you to monuments, characters and picturesque streets in a fun way and at your own pace. Its cathedral, a superb monument in the composite style, with a primitive Gothic apse and transept (12th century), a Flamboyant Gothic facade (15th century), and Renaissance style aisles (16th century), dominates the old center of Pontoise. Then you will visit the first floor of the Camille-Pissarro museum. Two rooms now form the cabinet of drawings and will allow throughout the year to present in turn, the sketches of Henri Matisse, the gouaches of Freundlich, the watercolors of Jimenez and Thornley or the prints of Camille Pissarro, in a word the prestigious collections of graphic arts of the Museums of Pontoise. A tasting of honey and goat's cheese at the tourist office will end your visit. Back on board for lunch.

DAY 6: BOUGIVAL - PARIS

Excursion included: Malmaison castle.This is the story of a real crush, the one that Joséphine de Beauharnais, wife of Napoleon Bonaparte had for this beautiful residence. She acquired it in 1799 and never stopped transforming it into a haven of peace. Decorated in the antique style by the famous architects of the time, Percier and Fontaine, the castle became between 1800 and 1802 the seat of the government of France in which Napoleon liked to meet his ministers. Major political decisions have been taken within these walls... After crossing the first vestibule in the form of a tent, you are immersed in the heart of the daily life of its most famous owners, from Josephine's moving bedroom, where she died in 1814, to the music room where the Empress's harp still stands, passing through the Marengo room and its arms that belonged to Napoleon. Back on board for lunch. Afternoon sailing to Paris. Gala.

Morning cruise to Bougival(3). DAY 3: BOUGIVAL - PONTOISE

Morning cruise to Pontoise. In the afternoon, excursion included: Auvers-sur-Oise and the Daubigny house-workshop.  Departure by coach to Auvers-sur-Oise. Visit the Daubigny house-workshop, classified as a historical monument in 1991 and labeled "Maison des illustres" (House of the Illustrious) in 2014. The Daubigny House-Workshop was built in 1861 by Charles-François Daubigny. It was the meeting point of his landscape friends, Corot, Daumier, and Berthe Morisot, to name a few. You will admire the exceptional imprint each left on the workshop walls. Continue to the vineyards of the Auversois press. A forgotten heritage that was successfully resurrected in the early 2000s. Located along the railway tracks in Auvers-sur-Oise, the vineyards offer an exceptional landscape. Visit the vineyard and the wine press. Then, head to Madame Guinguette's, where a tasting of local products awaits you in a rural setting. Return on board to Auvers-sur-Oise. Overnight stopover. Free evening.

DAY 4: PONTOISE - AUVERS-SUR-OISE - SAINT-LEU-D'ESSERENT

Included excursion: Auvers-sur-Oise and the Absinthe Museum. Drive to Auvers-sur-Oise. Excursion included: Compiègne, the Armistice Memorial Museum and the Château de Compiègne(4). Guided tour of the historic town of Compiègne. As you wander through the picturesque streets, you will see the superb 16th-century Town Hall with its richly sculpted Gothic-style façade and statues of the main figures in Compiègne's history, including Louis XII. Its belfry has one of the oldest municipal bells in France, dating from 1303. Further on, you will see pretty medieval houses, the oldest of which dates from the 15th century: the Vieille Cassine. Tasting of local specialties. Continue to the Armistice Memorial Museum. In the museum, you will discover a wagon identical to the one where the armistices of 1918 and June 22, 1940 were signed, a Marne taxi that took part in the battle of the same name, and 800 stereoscopic views dating from the First World War. The Memorial is dedicated to all combatants from 1870 to the present day with numerous monuments including the Augustin Trébuchon Memorial Garden, the last French soldier to die in the First World War... On your return you will visit the Château de Compiègne. The originality and beauty of the largest neoclassical French castle, the quality of its interior decorations and furnishings, make it a unique ensemble.
